Identity as the common denominator for Cloud & SOA

More and more enterprises and governments are exploring the move to services-oriented methodologies to achieve the reduction of integration expense, increase of asset reuse, increase of business agility, and reduction of business risk.  Securing and the management of identities and their access to loosely coupled solutions in the cloud is essential to achieve the above.  Whether for compliance, governance, and/or risk management purposes, the identity plays the role as the common denominator in the considerations how the architecture is designed and later deployed as a solution.
