Introducing Enterprise Architecture to the Enterprise
Enterprise Architecture is emerging as a professional, value-adding discipline within many leading public and private sector organisations seeking to maximise IT investment. Organisations that do it well yield significant, measurable business value from it. But it requires investment to realise this value; and significant time and effort are needed to properly embed the practice of Enterprise Architecture into the operational and cultural fabric of any organisation.
In Capgemini's experience, many organisations underestimate the challenges they face when embarking upon their Enterprise Architecture strategy. Without a solid foundation, investment in Enterprise Architecture can too easily be wasted and its potential value left unrealised and unrecognised.
Capgemini "Introducing Enterprise Architecture to the Enterprise" starts from a metaphor of City planning to explain the importance and process of EA. Then motivate for architecture frameworks by further exploring challenges for the enterprise, explaining aspects of enterprise architecture, and giving EA principles and overall picture.
Our engagement framework which helps clients to bring together the fundamental aspects of Enterprise Architecture in the right order, at the right time, with the right people involved will be introduced. Recognising that there is no ¡°one-size-fits-all¡± approach to Enterprise Architecture, the presentation will how to make our framework fully adaptable, scalable and outcome focused according to our clients focus areas, their current capability and business priorities.
Finally, the benefit of EA and using EA to governance IT project will also be addressed in the summary part.
