Geoff McClellandGeoff McClelland, VP Technology - Hotel Development, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Hong Kong

Geoff has over 25 years experience in Information Technology and Telecommunications (IT&T), having held senior roles or consulting extensively in a number of industry sectors; notably in Telecommunications, Petroleum, IT, Finance, Defence, Retail and Hospitality. Always having a strong technology focus, Geoff has held traditional IT&T staff roles as well as R&D, strategic marketing and corporate planning positions.

Geoff joined the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in mid 2003 having worked as a consultant to MOHG and other Jardine Matheson Group companies for several years.  At Mandarin Oriental he has responsibility for Technology design and deployment in new hotel builds and major renovations throughout Asia.  In addition he provides IT governance support to Jardine Matheson Limited.

Geoff is an Australian and lives in Hong Kong. He holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with a Finance Major from the University of Technology Sydney and is a Member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers), the Australian Computer Society (ACS) and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).

Enterprise Architecture: A Practitioners Perspective

Geoff will provide a practitioners perspective on the role of Enterprise Architectures within organisations and the important role they play in managing costs while positioning organisations for ongoing growth. Enterprise Architectures are a key component of sound IT governance and are increasingly being better understood and sought after by top management as a critical deliverable from the organisation's IT function.

Geoff has been using TOGAF to develop Enterprise Architectures in variety of organisations since the early 1990s. He is a long term member of The Open Group Architecture Forum and was actively involved in developing the early TOGAF documents.
