#Dennis Kwok, Certified Senior IT Architect, IBM System and Technology Group, IBM China / Hong Kong

Dennis Kwok was appointed Senior Technologist, IBM Innovation Network, Hong Kong, in June 2008. In this capacity, Dennis is responsible for enhancing awareness of IBM’s technology and innovation among the government and private sector. He works closely with IBM Hong Kong’s Chief Technologist as part of a local technical community within IBM that provides a portal to IBM’s research and development and fosters innovation vitality within the broader community.  

IBM Innovation Network is a global community of IBM senior scientists and technologists who help advance IBM's innovation agenda with multiple audiences and add value to the conversations between IBM and its clients, influencers and internal community. Hong Kong is one of 29 participating countries in this global initiative. 

In addition to being Senior Technologist for Hong Kong, Dennis is also Senior IT Architect, Systems and Technology Group for IBM China/Hong Kong Limited, a role he has held since 2005.  In this position, Dennis leads technical teams that design cross-platform solutions.  He also plans and promotes green data center solutions, consults on power/cooling trends and data center best practices, server/storage consolidation best practice, and business continuity assessment.

Prior to taking on his current roles, Dennis was a Technical Solution Manager, Strategic Outsourcing, where he developed outsourcing solutions and promoted and coordinated application migration offerings for clients across the Greater China region. 

Dennis graduated from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2003 with a Master’s degree in Technology Management in Information Technology.  He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) degree from the University of Hong Kong.
