Heather is the author of numerous articles, specifications, and “Java and JMX, Building Manageable Systems” book.

Tutorial: SOA Governance
This is the second of the series of tutorials on SOA prepared by The Open Group's SOA Work Group. It builds on the first tutorial "The Impact of SOA on Business." It explains the recently-published Open Group SOA Governance Framework, and covers:
- What SOA governance is,
- How it relates to other governance structures in the business, and
- What high-level governance structures and procedures need to be put into place.
