William Sheleg William has 30 years of experience in Information Systems. He has worked as both an Enterprise IS Architect and a Solutions Architect. He has developed Applications, Data, and Technical architectures to support both enterprise requirements and specific solutions. He has lead numerous Systems Development efforts for both operational and data warehousing systems.

Most recently he led a global strategy for a leading Pharmaceutical firm assessing the Impact and Value of Web services and Service Oriented Architecture, identifying how SOA and Web services would provide value to the firm, and the impact such technologies would have on the firm.

The Value of Service Oriented Architecture
PA Consulting GroupService Oriented Architecture can have a tremendous value and impact on an organization’s overall enterprise architecture and approach to solutions architecture. In this presentation, we will examine both the potential value and benefit of a Service Oriented approach to architecting solutions, as well as the potential impact of moving to a service oriented approach. The speaker will share his experience in developing an enterprise strategy for the adoption of web services and SOA for a global enterprise and what was learned regarding the impact and value of SOA.
