Dave Kuttler With 16+ years of broad based leadership in IT, David Kuttler joined Johnson Johnson & Johnson& Johnson’s Corporate Advanced Communications Group in 1999 as Director, Advanced Technology.

In May, 2000 Dave was promoted to Vice President e-Business Architecture & Technology, responsible for supporting J&J’s objective to become the “Best Connected Health Care Company”. He achieved this goal through the creation of application services, and new networking capabilities that leveraged the Internet while reducing service and delivery costs that supported J&J’s decentralized structure.

In December, 2000 Dave was promoted to WW Vice President, Information Architecture and joined the Corporate Office of Information Management. As Vice President Information Architecture, Dave is the COIM sponsor for the Canadian IM organization, Chairman of the Enterprise Architecture Council, leader for e-business technology, and J&J’s enterprise wide information technology and architecture standards.

Before joining Johnson & Johnson he held the position of Principal, Client Technologies for Bankers Trust. Prior to Bankers Trust, Dave was Director of Technology at Merck-Medco, where he was responsible for infrastructure and special projects.

The Johnson & Johnson Experience
Johnson and Johnson is looking at Enterprise Architecture as a methodology and practice that will enable improved business process, simplification and agility for its IT/Information Management assets. The focus of this presentation will be on the objectives, governance and expectations that were defined during the formation of the Enterprise Architecture Council and the plan for meeting J&J's expectations.
