Technical Director and Chief Architect, MITRE, Financial Management System Program Office Air Force
MITRETerence Blevins is a MITRE employee matrixed to the Air Force in the role of Technical Director and Chief Architect of the Financial Management System Program Office. He works with members of the Financial community to understand requirements and to develop an appropriate architecture and migration path for Financial Systems. Areas of focus and influence include enterprise architecture, ERP, Data Warehousing, and other special purpose financial applications.

Mr. Blevins has been involved with the architecture discipline since the 80s when he was at the NCR Corporation. He has been involved with evolving this discipline since 1996 when he first was introduced to The Open Group's Architecture Forum. He was co-chair of the Architecture Forum and frequent contributor of content to TOGAF including the Business Scenario Method.

Mr. Blevins holds an undergraduate and a Masters degrees in Mathematics from Youngstown State University. He is TOGAF 8 certified.

Architecture Support for Large Projects
Large projects drive specific demands of the IT architect and the architectures they produce. This presentation describes the environment of some large projects and posits the types of demands placed on IT architects. It additionally lists and describes some of the perceived success factors for an IT Architecture Practice to serve in this environment.
