Presentation
Improving Architecture Governance Using Six Sigma
Many enterprise architecture teams struggle with gaining support for architecture governance processes. In truth, many organizations see architecture governance not as a strategic enabler but an inhibiting formality. How does an architecture team gain insight into business partners’ needs and demonstrate that architecture governance satisfies rather than interferes with those needs? How can a process be defined that measurably shows that the needs are being satisfied? This session presents the results of a project that turned to Six Sigma to address these concerns. Six Sigma was used to define a customer-centric architecture governance process and to gain organization support. The session’s objective is to share the findings and lessons learned to help architect practitioners devise more effective and widely supported governance processes.
