Presentation
Integrating Enterprise Architecture and Governance into the Program Lifecycle
The objective of this presentation is to share our successes, failures, and key learnings while building an architected development environment at Intel Corporation. It presents the status and problems of our environment at the beginning baseline. It specifically addresses the Data Domain from the BDAT of the Enterprise Architecture to show how we applied Enterprise Architecture Principles and Governance to drive projects toward building and reusing component building blocks in the Enterprise Data Model. It presents the architecture organizations, mission, and roles that were created to develop and manage this. It describes the architecture deliverables that were defined and how those deliverables are integrated into the Program and Project Lifecycle phases. It shows how governance is applied around those deliverables and what the governing operating structure looks like. It discusses key learnings around tools and our use of the Enterprise Metadata Repository to support this environment. Finally, the benefits that have been derived from this architected environment are discussed in terms of dollar savings due to reuse.
