Mark
Potts is a chief technology officer (CTO) in the Strategy and Technology
Office within Hewlett Packard's Software Global Business
Unit (SGBU) and is responsible for HP's management initiatives for
the Adaptive Enterprise.
Prior to HP, Mark was the founder and CTO of Talking
Blocks, acquired by HP in September 2003, a software company providing
products for
managing Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web services. With
more than 12 years industry experience, Mark's background includes
architectural design and innovation for large-scale system development
in Australia,
Europe and the USA.
Mr. Potts has led work in new industry technology
and standards for SOA, Web services and Grid technologies, including
the Business Transaction
Protocol (BTP), Web service distributed management (WSDM) and Web
Service Resource Framework (WS-RF) specifications.
He is a regular
speaker
at conferences in the USA and Europe and is on the Editorial Board
of Web Services Journal.
