Colin has over 15 years of delivering both Strategy and Architecture work as well as delivery of significant systems and infrastructure within enterprise organisations. He comes from a pragmatic operations and infrastructure background having worked through manufacturing and IP carrier focused enterprises and has married this to the focus and value added by developing useful IS Strategy and Architecture.
Colin is very focused on the bottom line of how Enterprise Architecture (both business and IS) can contribute immediate and significant benefits to an organisation of any size as well as the long term stability, transparency and efficiency improvements. He has a wide range of sector experience from Investment Banking to Utilities and is still to this day capable of turning from the more academic pursuits of architecture to hands on technical work in challenging, cutting edge and high pressure environments, taking his architecture experience right up to the coal face where he believes that significant benefit is still to be gained by frameworks and structure.
Colin is a certified TOGAF 8 practitioner and is very interested in the development of TOGAF 9. He has spoken before at Open Group Conferences and is a member of the Architecture forum and a number of the other forums. |
