 Walter Stahlecker is a Fellow of The Open Group. His current focus are the Business Architecture Working Group and The Open Group's efforts on holistic Enterprise Architecture.
He has been an active member of The Open Group's working groups and Governing Board (and the preceding X/Open) for over 20 years. He initiated the ITAC Program and is a founding member of the Architecture Forum.
In 2006 Walter retired from HP as Director of Industry Standards after 35 years, during which he served as manager (commercial UNIX program) and initiator (System Management part of OpenView, Agilent's digital IC test systems).
