The IT Strategy Management
Process: Enabling healthy strategies in complex environments
Today's IT environments are faced with a number of challenges.
Topics such as, Governance, Architecture, Best Practices,
Agile Enterprise, Sarbanes-Oxley and more are at the top
of corporate agendas, trying to address those challenges.
While each topic addresses a specific area, the interaction
space between the topics and between organizations, processes
and locations remains a grey area. The IT Strategy Management
Process is positioned for this space. Some of its characteristics
include:
- One central repository in which the strategies,
standards, architectures, etc. are storage and managed
- Target audiences are driven for compliance with strategies
and standards and for the re-use of best practices
- Corrective
actions are triggered as issues emerge
- The health of the
strategies, standards and architectures is visible at
any time
