Presentation
Managing the Transition to
J2EE and .NET Enterprise Platforms through TOGAF
TOGAF presents an ideal framework to steer the migration,
validate technical/ product choices, and drive compliance
across parallel business -driven platform migration projects.
Our session will map the generic TOGAF terminology (for such
as the solutions and systems continuums) to the specific
building blocks provided by the J2EE and .NET platforms.
Concluding with a walkthrough of a TOGAF Enterprise Solution
(incorporating our customer case study examples), the session
will illustrate throughout:
- Trade-off analysis examples for ‘classic’ J2EE
Architecture dilemmas
- · TRM examples enumerating .NET and J2EE-specific
layer/ re-use elements
- · Enterprise Programme examples (steps E-H of the
ADM) for achievement of immediate business-driven project
objectives while evolving the strategic Enterprise target.
