Presentation
The European Commission Mentoring Workshop
for IT Architecture will focus on assisting conference
participants in two areas. The first will be to inform participants
on opportunities for European level funding for advanced research
in IT Architecture Methodologies and Technologies and the actions
required to be successful. The second will be to provide an
opportunity for participants discuss one-on-one with experts
having in-depth knowledge of European programmes, projects
and requirements to discuss specific project ideas and research
topics.
This Stream is restricted to organisations based in Europe
or organisations with European subsidiaries that have significant
development personnel in Europe able to undertake technology
development. In addition, the materials and information presented
will be targeted towards smaller European organisations having
staff of less than 300. These small to medium size organisations
are particularly encouraged within the EU to participate
in European funded programmes.
EC Funding Opportunities for Research
in IT Architecture Methodologies and Technologies presentation will introduce
participants to the various programmes of the European Commission
that will provide opportunities in 2005 for advanced research
in IT Architecture Methodologies and Technologies. The types
of projects, conditions for funding, the strategic objectives
and the technology focus areas identified by the European
Commission will be described along with the expected deadlines
for submitting proposals.
