IT Dashboards: Architecture and Design
IT dashboards are a useful tool for decision making. They guidelines for architecting an IT dashboard are determining scope, identifying key performance indicators, identifying data sources, presenting KPIs in an intuitive manner, automating data capture, and representation using best practices and tools. An often-overlooked but an increasingly relevant domain for IT dashboards is vendor management. As organizations increasingly right source their IT operations to multiple vendors, it becomes imperative for the senior leadership in the IT organization to understand how vendors perform. Having accurate real-time data about vendor performance in SLA adherence, customer satisfaction, change management, problem resolution, portfolio savings etc. enables IT leaders to make right decisions.
