The Strategic Role of Enterprise Architecture

Enterprise Architecture has been steadily gaining prominence as a way of organizing an enterprise’s business processes, information needs, and supporting technologies to align IT with business. Frameworks and Methodology like TOGAF and ADM has become a powerful enabler for Organizations to manage complexity and establish a meaningful lingua franca between Business, IT and key stakeholders to leverage Information Technology benefits targeted by the Enterprise.

This presentation highlights how an Organization can leverage Enterprise Architecture as a strategic tool to build agility, drive competitive advantage and sustain an impetus for innovation. Some of the key areas addressed are:

  • How does an Organization select the right Operating Model aligned to its characteristic business needs and structure during the Business Architecture stage?
  • How can an optimally executed 'Foundation for Execution' empower innovation and distributed leadership?
  • How do you leverage the Strategy Alignment Model in the Business Architecture stage by proper selection amongcross-domain relationships where business strategy leads as the driver, and the relationships where IT strategy empowers as the enabler?
