Survival SKILLS in SOA Governance for the Enterprise Architect
SOA is, as we all know, the major new architectural style which may of us are confronting. Experience at many of the members of The Open Group's SOA Working Group is that an effective governance regime is a critical element in a successful SOA program. In many organisations, the enterprise architecture team is looked to, to provide oversight and guidance to the SOA effort and it's governance. Unfortunately, most EA groups don't have experience in either SOA or SOA Governance. In fact, in many case, enterprise architecture governance is not formalized. This session will introduce the key issues in SOA Governance and relate those to the work of the enterprise architect. The session will also provide an update on the work that the SOA Governance team, within TOG's SOA Working Group is doing and give attendees a preview of what will be coming from this group in the next few months.!
