A Framework and Model for Service Oriented Enterprise Architecture

Steve Wolf, Senior Enterprise Architect responsible for the Core Transactional Systems Architecture and Planning at Marriott International and the Marriott SOA Evangelist, will discuss an SOA framework and Maturity Model adopted at Marriott and contrast the framework and maturity model with TOGAF ADM and III-RM, Department of Commerce ACMM Framework, CMMI, and other vendor sponsored SOA Frameworks and Maturity Models. The Marriott SOA Framework addresses the Business, Applications, Information, Process, and Technology domains against a business functions taxonomy defining the resulting ontology of components. The Marriott SOA Maturity Model is a 5 step model defining the characteristics of each phase against maturity model categories including Standards, Technology, Organization, and Process.
