  David Norton, Head, Global Software Engineering Methods and Tools, DHL    

David Norton is the head of the Global Software Engineering Methods and Tools group within DHL™'s DHLIT function. He is responsible for developing strategy for methods such as Model Driven Development and the introduction of TOGAF into the organizations.

He was awarded a MSc with Distinction from Southampton Institute in 1997 and previous to joining DHL was a Control and Instrumentation Engineer focusing on real-time systems and development life cycles.

Enterprise Architecture Evolution ­ A Darwinian perspective on architecture.
Enterprise Architecture has become a hot topic in recent years, but as we know the discipline of Enterprise Architecture is not new with organization adopting or developing their own frameworks for the last 20 years. This is the case at DHL where the Enterprise Architecture sub disciplines have been in existence in some form for the last 10 years.

This presentation looks at how Enterprise Architecture has evolved at DHL, focusing on the challenges and how we have meet them. It also highlights current areas of effort and investigation such as TOGAF and COBIT integration.
