 Mr.
Ross Button is a seasoned IT services professional with 25
years of experience working with customers in a diverse range
of industries.
Mr. Button's focus is on the technology side
of the IT services business, and he currently leads CGI's
Technology Leadership  program. This program leverages
and cultivates the strengths of CGI's 25,000 professionals
and provides strategic technology direction to CGI's senior
executive team. Ross is a technology generalist with working
knowledge of numerous technologies, products, and methodologies.
His previous roles include that of programmer, technical
support manager, technical architect, technology network
manager, lead/chief architect, project manager, director
of outsourcing, director of product management, executive
consultant, and director of solution management.

How to Prepare an Organization
for SOA
CGI is just finishing up an initiative to prepare its 25,000 member IT organization
to respond in an optimal manner to customer demand for SOA consulting, solutions
and operations. This initiative is a blend of knowledge management, training,
virtual team building and harvesting of experiences. The presentation will walk
the session participant through the process used to prepare CGI for SOA, discuss
the technologies used to support the process, describe the SOA Bootcamp that
CGI developed for internal use and present the model that has been put in place
for ongoing collaboration related to SOA.
