  Christopher Blake, Associate, Architecting the Enterprise    
Christopher BlakeChristopher has been involved in IT and Management Consultancy for 28 years and is is a leading exponent of the principles-based architectural approach to delivering system strategies, architectures, governance environments and business change.

Previously Managing Consultant/Business Line Leader for Governance and Architecture with QA plc Technical Architecture Consulting Division. Currently an associate of Architecting the Enterprise Ltd and Govindex specialising in the development of approaches to Enterprise Architecture Governance.

An active member of the Open Group Architecture Forum significantly involved in the development of The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) into an Enterprise Architecture Framework TOGAF 8. He has experience as an international level speaker; the Open Group 2002 Boston Conference - ‘ Boundaryless Information Flow’ where he delivered a well-received presentation on ‘Value Based Enterprise Architecture’.

His Open Group Activities have continued with a presentation to the TOGAF May 2003 on ‘Architecture Governance’, Major contributions to TOGAF8, presentations at Washington 2003 and Brussels 2004. Presentations at San Francisco and Dublin 2005 He is part of the TOGAF9 Work Group. Recently qualified as a TOGAF8 Certified Architect.

SOA and Governance
As we move towards SOA many of the problems associated with developing governance approaches to Technical, Business and Enterprise Architecture become more pronounced. The questions of ownership, corporate responsibility globalization, the extended enterprise and regulatory and legislative issues become more complex and potentially damaging. This presentation will seek to address the development of approaches to Corporate Governance with an analysis of the special problems associated in putting in place a Service Oriented Architecture
