Daljit Banger Daljit Banger is a British born independent IT Consultant, with 23 solid years IT experience.

Daljit has worked on a number of large-scale projects (centralised and distributed technology based) in a variety of countries around the globe.

During the past 7 years he has focused on definition and realisation of Enterprise level architectures both at the micro and macro level from conception through to deployment for various major international clients.

Daljit holds a Masters Degree in Business Information Systems and is a full elected Chartered Member of the British Computer Society.

He is unique in that he maintains an appreciation for the low level technology issues that allow him to manage large teams of technicians to ensure that the Architecture he designs for an Enterprise can be realised.

During 2004, Daljit was asked to run workshops to mentor 29 senior architects for a major US Bank to discuss "real issues" and best practices for enterprise technicians that he would like to share with members present.

Presentation
Making the Architectural Dream a reality - nuts & bolts to consider for a smoother transition!
The Key message of the session will be one of "structured agility" in the realisation of the Enterprise Architectural blueprint.

With a move towards the 24/7 global service delivery organisations and the future exploitation of the converged Enterprise IP network - the time-to-market will become a key success factor of any enterprise architecture team.

By encapsulating nuts & bolts principles and removing the ivory tower perception of design - one can argue that the realisation of the Enterprise Architecture and not just at the infrastructure layer can allow for a smother transition from Design (the dream) to Deployment (the reality).

The presentation will highlight and discuss solid founding principles and the approach of structured simplified processes to meet both the Architectural goals and objective with the production and delivery of solid systems.

The session will highlight how the move towards a Service-Orientated-Architecture amongst other things, needs to ensure that the Enterprise Architecture gives consideration to such attributes as Performance, Security, Scalability and Resilience (Core Principles). You can argue that these attributes are overcast by the Enterprise Architects macro helicopter view at the early stages of the systems lifecycle, which if considered early in the day, can add great value to meeting the goals and objectives in ensuring that systems are fit for purpose.
