Rakesh Radhakrishnan is an Enterprise IT Architect in the Communications
Market Area of Sun Client Services. He has covered Telco and
Service Provider accounts in Canada, USA and Latin America. He
has over 15 years of experience and has an MBA (MIS) and MS (MIT).
He is an active member of The Open Group (TOG), Object Management
Group (OMG) and Customer/Sun Engineering Technology Council (C/SETC)
at Sun.
He has published more that 15 papers on IT Architectures
(Frameworks, Process and Techniques) and is a frequent speaker
in conferences including OMG, TOG, CMG, SuperG, SunNetwork, Java
ONE, BEA, etc. He has led multiple Architecture Workshops, Architecture
Assessments, and Architecture Roadmaps for IT Consolidation,
Network Identity, Java Enterprise Systems (SunONE) and N1. He
recently recieved approval for his Patent application on "Container
Alignment Engine".

Dr. Ramaswami Rangarajan "Dr. Ranga" is a Principal
Network Systems Designer at Sprint. He has a total of 32 years
IT experience that includes 10 years at United Airlines, 10 years
at Bank of America and the last 12 years at Sprint.
At Sprint Dr. Ranga has designed various systems that were successfully
deployed on the network including Network Call Distributor, Call
Redirect Application, SiteRP system used by large Toll Free Customers
for Dynamic Network Routing, Centralized Translations Control
(CTC) currently being implemented as part of Sprint’s Next
Generation Network Architecture and many more. In majority of
these projects Dr. Ranga also had the "Overall responsibility" for
leading teams charged with the implementation, translation of
user requirements to detailed design, program design and development,
and coordinating with other groups for performing funding requests,
acquisition of hardware/software, Operating Systems installation/upgrades,
communication Line configuration, preparation of test scripts
and System Integration testing.
Lately (2003/2004) Dr. Ranga has been working with Sun on the
evaluation of Sun's Systems and Technologies for use in Sprint's
Call Processing Architecture.
Dr. Ranga has a PhD from University of California, Berkley
in Operations Research and a dual BE (with Honors) from University
of Poona in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. Dr. Ranga
also teaches on a part-time basis at California State University
at Hayward since 1976.
