This full-day meeting will update you on the role of wireless data technology
in achieving Boundaryless Information Flow throughout an organization.
Attendees will hear from leaders of vendors and service providers in
the wireless data industry as well as the principals of trade associations,
user groups, standards initiatives and regulatory bodies, with the keynote
address being delivered by Kouji Ohboshi, Corporate Advisor, and former
Chairman of NTT DoCoMo, Inc.
The
meeting will help vendors and service providers:
- Demonstrate the role of wireless data in achieving The Open Group's
vision of Boundaryless Information Flow
- Understand the needs and concerns of enterprise IT regarding wireless
data and eliminate obstacles to technology adoption and market growth
It will
also allow enterprise buyers to:
- Understand the current and future role of global wireless data focusing
on Japan, Europe, and the USA
- Learn about technology capability and market take-up of
- Broadband cellular services 2.5G 3G
- Wireless LAN hot spot technology
- Existing narrow-band and packet data services
- Personal Area Networks
- Other wireless technologies serving customers today
- Understand the role of other consortia active in this area
- Identify the gaps and overlaps in interoperability of available and
future wireless technology.
Attendees are also invited to participate in the meeting of The Mobile
Management Forum on Thursday 17th October, during which the outcome of
the Wireless Data Summit will be analyzed and future work for The Open
Group and other consortia identified.
