Brian HopkinsBrian Hopkins covers emerging technology and its impacts on business and IT for Enterprise Architecture Professionals. His research provides practical advice to architects and IT strategists seeking to leverage new information management tools and techniques while dealing with current-state challenges. In addition, Brian provides insights for enterprise architects in the insurance and defense industries where he has extensive experience. Brian has 13 years experience in IT as a manager, strategist, and architect.

Before joining Forrester, he worked for CNA Financial Services as the director of enterprise architecture practices. Previously, Brian worked as an architect, business analyst and program manager in the defense industry where he led the adoption of emerging technologies such as XML, web services, and enterprise content management.

Before becoming an IT professional, Brian served as a nuclear submarine officer for 10 years in the US Navy.

Brian holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University (1989).
