Cloud computing is an exciting technical phenomenon that has the ability to transform a business. That transformation may however affect more than the financial results and the bottom line. It could impact of the whole shape of the business enterprise, and require a different mix of people, with different capabilities and skills, to those typically found in an enterprise that uses a traditional computing platforms.
This session will feature a discussion on how the take-up of Cloud Computing by an enterprise is likely to impact its structures, policies and practices and, in particular, the people that work within the enterprise and in its business partners.
Tejpal (TJ) Virdi works for The Boeing Company as Enterprise Computing Architect in Commercial Aviation Services IT Systems Architecture group. TJ is primarily responsible for architectural leadership, aligning vision and strategy with enterprise information systems. Prior to joining The Boeing Company, TJ had worked in Healthcare IT for 15+ years in creating and managing innovative solutions.
TJ is co-chair of The Open Group Cloud Computing Work Group, Cloud Computing Architecture, Using TOGAF for Cloud Ecosystem (TOGAF-CE) and Legacy Evolution to SOA (L2SOA) projects.

Dave Gibson, as an HP Distinguished Technologist, ITAC Level 2 certified architect, TOGAF certified and a licensed Professional Engineer with the Discipline in Software Engineering from the State of Texas has been in the Information Technology (IT) industry since 1985. With more than 25 years of client facing experience across several industries (Transportation, Manufacturing, Energy, Healthcare, Government), Dave consistently architects and implements technical solutions with significant lasting business impact for his clients. He grasps his client’s business needs, formulates appropriate strategies and executes to produce positive business value.
Dave succeeds by combining his Masters degree in business, his formal engineering training, and his account and corporate experience. Dave’s background includes Enterprise Architecture, Software Engineering, Portfolio Development & Management, Intellectual Property Management, Research & Development, Technology Commercialization.
Dave’s acumen for business, passion for technology and ability to work with people has resulted in a broad set of contributions to his clients, the corporation, and society.
Dave is married with a son and daughter.

Gurvinder Ahluwalia
Gurvinder Ahluwalia’s background is in IT and product engineering. He is an expert at optimizing IT for CIO mandates – to transform, leverage, expand, or pioneer for business. He performs at the strategy level for planning, and at the broad and deep architecture levels for development and delivery.
Guri’s recent work has been in preparing the optimization and cloud delivery - of, both, IT and Software Products - for High-tech, Airline, Healthcare, and Internet companies. He has also led the pre-IPO financial and technical readiness of the infrastructure for a Financial Services customer with $800 million IT operation.
Previously at Accenture, Guri led consulting practices and engagements in US and Europe. At Motorola, he implemented the company’s internal world-wide network. At Texas Instruments, he led the systems engineering function for Embedded Linux wireless handheld products. Guri is credited for taking 6 IT development or product engineering programs from start to finish -- for internal enterprise launch or commercial market launch -- in his career so far.
Currently, Gurvinder is the Chief Technology Officer for Private Cloud at IBM. He is based in Dallas and covers the west region. He also Chairs the Working Group on Cloud Business Patterns at a 200-member customer industry body called Cloud Standards Customer Council.
