The EMA Challenge
The goal of the EMA
Challenge is to enable companies to exchange strongly encrypted

without the need for manual key exchange.
The objective is to
demonstrate this at the January 2002 quarterly meeting of
The Open Group in Anaheim, California.
The challenge team
is in place and has already published the definition of
the tasks to be performed in the demonstration, but it is
not too late to join the challenge team.
There will be TWO opportunities to learn more during the
upcoming Open Group conference in Amsterdam direct from
the leader of this activity, Dean Sepstrup, Project Manager
of the EMA Challenge and Dean Richardson, the Chair of The
Open Group EMA Forum.
- On Tuesday October 23rd,
Dean Sepstrup will present a 30 minute summary update
of EMA Challenge activities as part of The Open Group
Open Forum afternoon session.
- An additional session has been
arranged on Sunday October 21st
at 2pm, during which Dean Richardson will present
detailed information on the EMA Forum, the EMA Challenge
and how you can get involved.
Both of these sessions are open to all conference attendees.
The session on Sunday afternoon
will also be open to members of the EMA's peer organisations
within the World Electronic Messaging Association (WEMA).
