Cross-border Certification, the Legal Challenge

As part of the examination of the legal issues and challenges relating to Active Loss Prevention, Robert Carolina will examine cross-border certification, and will explain the issues.

Specialisation:

Focuses entirely upon commercial transactions and projects involving telecommunications and information technology. Represents users, purchasers, developers, and vendors of related products and services, and advises on electronic commerce transactions and projects. Related areas of expertise include technology outsourcing and facilities management arrangements, technology and telecommunications system and services procurement and technology distribution and licensing. Senior Visiting Fellow with the Information Security Group at Royal Holloway (University of London).

Career:

University of Dayton (B.A., 1988); Georgetown University Law Center (J.D., 1991); London School of Economics (LL.M. International Business Law, 1993). Qualified in 1991. Gained experience as an in-house lawyer with an Internet software developer in the US and four years additional experience working in the technology and communications law practice at Clifford Chance. Joined Tarlo Lyons in 1998.
